Amahla is a new soul artist to me, but from what I have been reading she has been making waves, and it does not surprise me. From what I have heard so far she has got one of them voices that makes stop what you are doing, and just listen to that gorgeous voice.
I have gone back to her debut single ” Old Soul”, and I am glad I did.
There is also an acoustic version, where she is only accompanied by a piano, played by Noel Chambers. This stripped down version, is just as good as the original for me.
Looking forward to hearing more from this singer/songwriter from Hackney.
Fruitless Fact: Amahla was awarded the PRS Lynsey De Paul Prize for outstanding emerging female songwriters and was also the recipient of the second ever MOBO Awards X Help Musicians Grant for her exceptional voice.
