“We all need to have music in our lives – every day if you can. Great medicine and takes you to a different place.” – Vanessa Gomez
Hello all
Just want to say get well soon to two old friends of mine, Stu Keogh and Tony Hyatt, wishing you both a speedy recovery.
Work has been a bit mental at the moment, so not had a great deal of time, it’s been nice getting home and having an hour or so just chilling and listening.
I started off this week listening to ambience soulful beat of Innocence 2nd and final album, Build. Then I found the lovely soulful voice of Amahla, with her debut single Old Soul.
Had a good chat with Vanessa Gomez, who is a very good friend of my sister, but also a friend of the family, where I leant about cringe-worthy flamenco amongst other things.
Midweek listening was Jazz with Diana Krall – Stepping Out the album that sneaked up on me, and Hip Hop instrumental with The Herbaliser – Remedies, I also found my vinyl copy of The Chimes – The Chimes and gave that a spin.
Friday night listening I turned to folk with Bob Dylan – Bob Dylan. Saturday morning coffee was enjoyed with the smooth voice of Bryony Jarman-Pinto.
Stay safe people, as this Covid is real.
Oh I also listened to the below, on my way to work, Diana Krall wasn’t doing it for me.
I have always been putting together these playlists, I normally make up a playlist from a variety of different music genres and see if they fit together. So lately I have restricted myself to the albums I have posted about and have decided to share it with you, as we did in the old days with tapes
The only way I can think of sharing playlists these days is with something like Spotify, so below is some of what I have been listening to this week.
