“Music is powerful. As people listen to it, they can be affected. They respond.” – Ray Charles

Hello all

Last Sunday listen was Norah Jones ‎– Feels Like Home, a very marmite artist, some really love her and some can not stand her, for me it was a nice chill-out Sunday with her. It was also mothers day, in these mad times we live in, I have not seen my mum for 6 months now, we sent over a bunch of flowers, it was the 4th bunch she received that morning, but mummy is missing her little Frankie.

At work, we are still heading for this handover for next week, as always with these things, somethings are hanging out, so my going to work music was downtempo, electronic of AIR ‎– Moon Safari.

By Thursday night, was feeling a bit beat, so decided to relax to Bryony Jarman-Pinto ‎– Cage and Aviary on vinyl, which turned up this week.

I am a big fan of vinylwritermusic.com, I am part of there CD & Vinyl group on Facebook, and I really enjoy their interviews on their website. I have found quite a few new artists this way via them, one of these being The Spider Accomplice. I got in contact with Andrew Daly from Vinyl Writer and he kindly let me use some of his interview with the lead singer of The Spider Accomplice, VK Lynne. So after all that mellow stuff during the week, I rocked out with The Spider Accomplice ‎– The Trap on Saturday morning.

So a big thanks to Andrew Daly also for helping me with a few things, and for all the team at Vinyl Writer for running a great site and groups, although my wallet is not happy with them.

As I said last week, a dear old friend of mine past away not long ago Mick Keogh. Mike really took me under his wing when 7 of us were up in court for 6 weeks, being the 2nd youngster in the dock, Mick really acted as a father figure to me.

One of his sons Stu Keogh, has set up a fundraiser for Dementia UK, a charity that is dear to my heart, I lost my dad in 2019 to Dementia as well. So if anyone has some spare coinage here is a link Stu’s birthday fundraiser for Dementia UK thank you in advance.

This week, I cooked something easy, grilled pork chops, marinated in my own garlic & herb rub, with salad seasoned with my own garlic & herb salad dressing.

Oh nearly forgot, am going for my Covid jab today, my Annie got hers during the week, got a bit of a sore arm, and one strange reaction, she does not want to kiss me, tells me I stink of garlic.

Stay safe all, and have a good week all.

Oh, I also listened to the below, on my way to work.

I have always been putting together these playlists, I normally make up a playlist from a variety of different music genres and see if they fit together. So lately I have restricted myself to the albums I have posted about and have decided to share it with you, as we did in the old days with tapes

The only way I can think of sharing playlists these days is with something like Spotify, so above is some of what I have been listening to this week.
