“I’m a musical omnivore, and I appreciate just about everything.” – Derrick Bostrom

Hello all

Went back to work this week, feeling better, and looks like I am over Covid, apart from taste buds are still not back. My wife is over it as well, but still suffering a bit of the after-effect.

With going back to work, my time is a bit limited, but I did catch up with my reading of Vinyl Writer Music!, who do some great interviews with musicians, and people who work in the music industry, it’s normally about people based in the New York area.

Also this week I have been listening to music, I started off with a bit of downtempo electronic, with Zero 7, 2nd album, “When It Falls”. Then followed by a reggae classic, which as I found out had a very interesting back story, The Congos ‎– Heart Of The Congos. As I have been listening to a lot of reggae, decided to make up a playlist and share it with all you lovely people, a Reggae Vibe 1, and write about how it started with reggae and me.

Well then it was the dreaded back to work day, and the world had gone mad if it could get any madder, Covid figures were on the rise again in the UK, people were storming the Senate building over in America, things had not been done that should of while I was off, and it was left to me to sort out. Got home, turned the lights off in the man cave, and just washed it all away, while just chilling out to Sade ‎– Promise, that was my album for a couple of days. I did also check out Bryony Jarman-Pinto, 2nd single Saffron Yellow.

On Saturday I continued my adventure of understanding Jazz with Dave ‘Fathead’ Newman ‎– Straight Ahead.

I also have registered to give blood, as a Covid victim, the NHS want my antibodies, you never know I could be the second coming and the saviour of mankind, god help you lot if I am.

Oh I also listened to the below, on my way to work.

I have always been putting together these playlists, I normally make up a playlist from a variety of different music genres and see if they fit together. So lately I have restricted myself to the albums I have posted about and have decided to share it with you, as we did in the old days with tapes

The only way I can think of sharing playlists these days is with something like Spotify, so below is some of what I have been listening to this week.
