What music are you currently listening to?
I need to check my phone, “Hard to beat” by Hard Fi, Long Hot Summers: The Story of The Style Council . Music from the film about the singer Helen Reddy , “I am woman”
CD, Streaming or Vinyl ?
When you use to go out I would steal your Cure albums, and House 12″ and play them. Got rid of all my CD’s. all streaming these days, with Itunes or Spotify
What, if push comes to shove, is your all time favorite album?
Difficult because it changes, but I do think Richard Ashcroft, went to see him in 2017 he was brilliant. Love “Song for the lovers” , “New York” from Alone With Everybody, and “Science Of Silence” from Human Conditions. Great passion in his music.
What was the first record you ever brought? And where did you buy it?
Was given to me as a present, early Now That’s What I Call Music! can’t remeber which one but had a lot of Motown sort of stuff on it, you should know you stole it, or it could of been Nick Heyward’s “North of a Miracle” which I think you also got.
Most of the girls in school like either Duran Duran or Wham. I was also mad on Curiosity Killed the Cat, Vanessa and me had these berets, we went to camp with the school and we wore them all the time . I stopped wearing it because I was told I would go bald.
Salt and pepper and The Cookie Crew as well.
What do you sing in the shower?
On Friday I was listening to Des’ree playlist while in the shower.
What is your favorite Saturday night record?
I jump around a lot, at the moment “Born to Run” Bruce Springsteen, did not like it when it can out, with everything going on around the world I want be like Forrest Gump and just run, working from home at the moment.
And your Sunday morning record?
Minnie Riperton – “Lovin’ You” or Kate Bush “Wuthering Heights”. I dance around the front room, because I am sitting down all day. We have a disco ball as well, we put that on.
Do you know what was number one in the UK the day you where born?
Not a clue.

Blur or Oasis?
Oasis, more for Noel love The Masterplan should of been a single.
Bob Dylan or Bob Marley?
Bob Marley, but I do also like Dylan.
Kate bush or Sade?
Ohh I don’t know, these are hard. Kate Bush, just like the way you can escape into her music, but still love Sade as well.
The Style Council or The Jam?
I know the Style council more, but do like the Jam. I really like That’s Entertainment, I use to be able to play it on guitar, when I am on the bus and it comes on I pretend to be playing the guitar, not sure what people are thinking of me.
Dean Martin or Julio Iglesias?
Dean Martin, Little green apples after Dad, he use to sing it all the time. I thought he was making it up, until I found out it was a Dean Martin song. Took mum to see Julio, we use to hear it ever Sunday, Mum would play it in kitchen.
Ann ( now my wife) said she knocked around one Sunday, she could not get over it, Mum was playing her music in the kitchen, I was playing something loud in my room, and you and Doreen where playing something in your room, she said poor dad had the TV up so loud so he could hear it.
