Hello all
Well, I was going to do a Christmas playlist, but to be honest with you, I can not be arsed, it just does not feel like it, let me explain.
This week has been a strange one, I wasn’t feeling too well last Sunday, but I did get to listen to Ray Charles, Presents David Newman-Fathead . Woke up for work on Monday, was feeling very rough, so decided to get a Covid test done, this test came back inconclusive, so had to get another, this one came back positive.
I did get a chance to listen to Talk Talk – Its My Life and found a new Raggae band The Gyrators that are realising new material.
Had a great catch up with an old school mate Paul Eveleigh.
Then the UK government announced on Saturday they are locking the country down again.
I am looking forward to New Years Eve, with glass in hand, instead of wishing everyone a Happy New Year, I am going to shout at the top of my voice,
SOD OFF 2020!
Oh I also listened to the below..
I have also been putting together these playlists, I normally make up a playlist from a variety of different music genres and see if they fit together. So lately I have restricted myself to the albums I have posted about and have decided to share it with you a lot as we did in the old days with tapes
The only way I can think of sharing playlists these days is with something like Spotify, so below is some of what I have been listening to this week.
Played your list while I was wrapping presents. Absolutely loved the Burning Spear. Don’t have anything from them, need to fix that. Love dub and rub-a-dub.
Always makes me wonder if anyone actually listens to these play list. The album is a dub version of Burning Spear album Marcus Garvey. You can pick it up in a 2 CD set Marcus Garvey / Garvey’s Ghost, I also have it on vinyl, which sounds really good. Got some more dub albums to post about, but Garvey’s Ghost is one of my favs.
I may have to try the Spotify playlist in a post. Cool idea.
