Hello all

Well, that’s 2020 over with, was there a more welcome year than 2021.

With not much going on, and still getting over the effects of Covid I still had plenty of time on my hands to listen to music, and this week I started off with the smooth vocals of “Melody Gardot – Worrisome Heart”. Then moved onto ” Seal – Seal” and a bit Dub Reggae from 1980, “Elroy Bailey – Red Hot Dub”. Then another blogger, The Aural Retentive, had me listening to some slower material from “The Smashing Pumpkins “ another group added to the ever-expanding want list.

Then I met up with an old fav, Soul II Soul – Club Classics Vol. One. I read about Marcus Garvey, who he was and what he was about, what an interesting character he was!, this all came about via a reggae classic, “Burning Spear ‎– Marcus Garvey” .

On New Year Eve I found a mash-up that I actually like, “The Take Vibe E.P. ‎– Golden Brown/Walking On The Moon”. Then I said my official “Sod off to 2020”, and had a recap of my favourite finds of 2020. Seen in the New Year, with Jool’s Hootenanny, his view figures must have been through the roof this year.

New years day I met up with another old fav, “The Chimes – The Chimes” and a new artist to me, “Bryony Jarman-Pinto”.

While all the above was going on, was having a great chat with an old school mate Steve Wildes, it was a great catch up, “Your View with Steve Wildes.”

Just want to pre-warn you, and some may be happy about this but I will not be posting so much, feel like I am over Covid now, and am going to go back to work tomorrow, so real life is now going to get in the way off my music listening, but I do need to earn the bread to feed the goose.

One last thing and she will hate me for this, but just want to say a big thank you to Siobhan Browne, for all the advice she gave me when I had Covid, and for all the great work she is doing in the battle against Covid. When I next meet her, rules permitting, I will be giving her a big Frankie hug.

Oh I also listened to the below, 10 from me.

I have also been putting together these playlists, I normally make up a playlist from a variety of different music genres and see if they fit together. So lately I have restricted myself to the albums I have posted about and have decided to share it with you,as we did in the old days with tapes

The only way I can think of sharing playlists these days is with something like Spotify, so below is some of what I have been listening to this week.
